Let me get this straight. If the legislature repeals the Reedy Creek Improvement Act this will hurt Florida - “Florida will have to pay through the nose.”
So, will Disney oppose repeal in order to save Florida money? Under the current arrangement it must be Disney that is paying through the nose.
It looks like Disney might want to support repeal of Reedy Creek to economically punish Florida’s governor and the legislature - if your thinking is correct; which I doubt.
Disney has already put the infrastructure in place, but Disney (or their allies) own it. So for Florida to take that stuff over they’ll either have to pay Disney for the stuff, or build it themselves.
Also keep in mind Disney has deeper pockets than Florida. Disney can drop $71 billion buying Fox, the entire Florida state budget for this year is $101 billion.
