“I understand basic math.”

That is one of the things I’ve questioned. Here’s why.

You are arguing that Disney’s worldwide workforce of 190,000 can generate more after tax money every year than the state of Florida can generate by taxing 21.5 million residents and 118 million visitors per year.

And you have argued that $2.5 billion is larger than $100 billion.

And you have argued - inexplicably - that Disney will stop repeal of the archaic Reedy Creek Improvement District law which - you claim - would make “Florida pay though the nose” in order to preserve the status quo which now makes Disney pay though the nose.

I’m not following your thinking.

Set aside for a moment that the Disney business model involves being in bed with Red Chinese genocide and some the worst human perversions.

No. I didn’t say that. I said a company that can generate $2.5B in profit in a year with all kinds of issues that brought down there revenue will be able to BUILD a war chest that far exceeds what the state of Florida has to throw around in a legal case.

Florida’s ENTIRE budget is $101B. As I asked you multiple times already: how much of that will they be able to spend on this lawsuit? We already know Disney can throw around chunks of money that can build NFL stadiums. What’s Florida got in their pockets? Take a comparative example in NY state. They’re forking over $800M to build the Bills a new stadium, and in order to do it they’re cutting $800M from all kinds of other projects. States don’t war chests. Disney has a war chest.

Disney will fight it. It’s far too convenient for them not to. More importantly IF the legislature ends it they’ll get stuck with the bill for the services. Because with the Act canceled it’s not Disney’s problem anymore. And I guarantee the counties and town in that zone don’t want anything to do with it. Probably what’ll happen is the counties and town will sue to make the state pick up the bill, and they’ll use lawyers Disney pays for.

No you’re not following your own made up version of my thinking. What you put down as “my thinking” bear almost no resemblance to what I said. You made up crap and then insist the crap you made up makes no sense. That ain’t on me.

The Disney business model doesn’t matter in this. I’m not telling you who I want to win. That’s immaterial. I’m telling you who WILL win. Never bet against Disney. They ALWAYS win.
