I hope that Ms Thunberg's book explains why greenhouse gasses like methane and CO2 fail to hold the heat down during a midday solar eclipse of an otherwise warm sunny day.

Also, is it any surprise that nighttime temperatures typically keep dropping in various places until sunrise?

A few years ago there was a total midday solar eclipse about 55 miles from my home. Not wanting to sit in traffic, I witnessed a 99% eclipse from my backyard. The temperature drop was absolutely AMAZING.

Temps continue to drop until a bit after sunrise, all else being equal. Terrain and proximity to large bodies of water are big determining factors, as well.
