I wish everyone on the Cooking Thread who observes Easter a blessed one, and all of our Jewish FRiends a joyous Passover.
My favorite film about the life of Jesus has always been Zeffirelli’s ‘Jesus of Nazareth’, which was orgiginally a television series in the 1970s, and is an absolutely beautiful film. If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, it’s included in your subscription.

My favorite movie ever was “The Passion of the Christ”. But it was the toughest to watch.
(2nd was “It’s A Wonderful Life” and that was just plain fun.)
The movie ended and all the viewers just sat there sorta stunned.
Mel Gibson is doing a sequel, “The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection”

We love the Jesus of Nazareth series too, so many great stars. I like to watch it in chunks, throughout the year. Just finished it up last night after church.

I may have mentioned that we planned to have Veal Oscar for Easter dinner today. I am happy to report back that, while a bit later than we expected (we had two unexpected things come up right as we were starting cooking) we had an amazing meal, just as we had hoped for. My bearnaise sauce was perfect, which is one thing I’ve had trouble with sometimes. This time I had a backup plan in place, and the bearnaise needed it, and came out splendidly. The veal with crab, asparagus, and béarnaise toppers were spot on. I feel like I learned a new cooking technique today.
