Custom browser scripting seems like a lot of work. Why not just use industry standardized HTML5, or am I off base here?

It’s been a long time for me. I learned to code and now I forgot everything and what I did know is obsolete. lol

It just seems like some sites try to get too cute. Just another manifestation of the bloatware phenomenon

Brave seems to be far more often even than this. I haven't counted, but seems to be almost weekly.
