You can find this fun quotation puzzle, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications. I challenge us with the best ones out there.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days.  If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.

And as to your question about what sex is the “little mermaid”….. from the original story there are clues, we know that she fell in love with a human man, we know that she was called a merMAID, not a merMAN, so we all assumed she is a female. But Disney (knowing how they think) may now have other plans for her (their, ze, etc)… who knows.

Back to it again. this one took me quite awhile to complete. I got the last word quickly because it was used in the prior day's puzzle, too. I thought I got the most common letter and most common word, but I couldn't make the other words fit until I pieced together some words that used the rarer letters.
