As an alumni who hasn’t kept up, I’m shocked to learn they dropped standardized tests for a while. Sadly, there has been an administrative bent towards liberality over the past generation.

Still a great center of learning.

Surely you mean as an alumnus, fancy-pants.

When I was at Yale we had a very nice student across the hall who checked all of the boxes. Black, poor... They just plucked him out of Texas and plopped him down on Old Campus.

He was absolutely unprepared for the rigor, and left, in shame, after the first semester Freshman year.

He never contacted any of us again.

I have often wondered whether anyone on the left ever takes responsibility for ruining peoples' lives (or at least their college careers) for the sake of ridiculous, racist, "change the finish line" schemes.

I miss that kid. He was pretty cool, but he was doomed.
