Lots of dumb minorities got in ..I’d bet my house on it...They weren’t prepared for that level of stupidity....
The had to "research" it because common sense ist verboten.
Research, my derriere.
Bet their donors threatened to yank their money.
(kidding, a little)
LOL Someone found out quickly that being in the top5% of an inner city school is like being in the bottom 90% of a private school.
I just read the other day where so other “college”, I forget the name, were dropping the ACT/SAT so they could add more “diversity” to their campus.
That’s racist, isn’t it?
MIT practices SAT apartheid racist exclusion! White supremacy!
Of course standardized tests should be part of the process. But still, no college or university will actually reveal their secret sauce for their admission process.
When are the riots going to start?
SAT/ACT is also a good way to measure the future student success rate. They don’t need these clowns that only show up long enough to buy the sweatshirt and T-shirt who are never seen again after the first “spring break.”
THANKS for posting this news!!!
“Our research shows standardized tests help us better assess the academic preparedness of all applicants, and also help us identify socioeconomically disadvantaged students who lack access to advanced coursework or other enrichment opportunities”
So once they identify the “disadvantaged students” who flunk the tests, what are they going to do with them?
The SAT/ACT tests predict success in college. Other than that, they’re not good for much. /s
Oh and BTW, has anyone other than Charles Murray looked at the dropout rates for affirmative action admissions?
While I didn’t like the SAT/ACT at the time, with 20/20 hindsight, they are a decent measure of how someone has been applying themselves and taking study seriously. Are they perfect? No. But they are a decent measure of the likelyhood of a students success.
So, the SAT works better than the CRT.
“Our research can’t explain WHY these tests are so predictive…”
It’s a real mystery.
The only local kid I’ve heard about going to MIT was a black girl who was valedictorian at a small HS. She was incredibly disadvantaged, what with her dad being a second generation doctor and all.
Standardized tests are the best measures of success in college and the level a student should be placed.
The U.S. has had very good systems for doing things that help people and help society in general.
The left has worked decades to destroy these things using ruses that ring emotionally but aren’t logical.
i didn’t know mit did not require sat /act. That surprises me.
Yep. A small move back toward sanity.
