* Get two can openers every time you get a can opener.
* Buy long handled can-openers that have an ‘Easy-Crank handle’. That way you get portability AND the ability to deal with thick tins (or if you have reduced hand strength).
* Ignore those who tell you that can-opener questions are not appropriate for FR.
(I should add: “Easy-Crank handle” seems to be the same as “Swing-A-Way”)
