If you gentlemen had read the article in the link I posted you would have read that no-flush niacinamide also is documented to have the same kidney protecting effect as niacin. Unfortunately the inositol nicotinate you take from Finest Nutrition (“Finest Nature” doesn’t seem to exist), which is marketed as no-flush niacin, so far as I can discover has not yet been proved to have the same kidney-protective effect. Maybe it works, and maybe it doesn’t. Since it only takes 100 mg of niacin or niacinamide for a proved kidney protective effect, it seems wise to me to do that, flush or no flush. Personally I have been taking 100 mg of niacin twice a day, and the flush is usually very mild. Good luck with your health.

I did read the link, just not every jot and tittle of it, as I was interested in dosing and length of the study for observing the effects. I’ll return to the link for the niacin info.

Many foods have added vitamin a. Cooked carrots have a lot of vitamin a.
Consuming beer or yogurt reduce excess vitamin a.
I simply take it because the GLA component is important to general health.
Good to know about the vitamin A - I do love some cooked carrots but I don’t do them to excess because of the sugar.
Your comment about beer and yogurt being good for reduction of vitamin makes me think their common creation process is fermentation. I drink very little beer these days but I do consume yogurt. I also like other fermented foods like pickles and kim chee. I get them from OliveMyPickle.com

The GLA and the BCSO black currant seed oil, helps your gut get rid of some bad gut bug. I have tried it since but no other improvements and I stopped because I thought I was getting too much Omega 6. I cant take fish oil. Think I may need to look at it again. My diet has changed.
