Looked like a ‘hollywood’ punch so at first I thought it was staged but then Rock looked genuinely off his game after and Jada looked not happy when Rock made the joke in the first place, although Smith at first was laughing. Not sure but the yelling obscenities seemed not to fit in with the tv Oscars, and that is the only thing that makes me think it was real..
