During the mid 1980s, Phil Collins was as big a rock star as could be possible. Between Genesis and solo albums, he was all over the radio airwaves during that time.

I first saw Phil Collins at the now-defunct The Music Hall in Houston, TX in 1983.

I had tickets to see Genesis at The Summit (now The Lakeland Church) in Houston in 1984. Phil Collins got sick and the concert was postponed by one day, but I had a business trip that day and couldn't go. I didn't get to see Genesis until many years later.

The first time I saw them was in the old Sam Houston Coliseum. It wasn’t even full. It was either 73 or 74. I don’t remember the exact date. Was in my first year of High School.

I saw the 84 show in the Summit.
