I just finished reading Phil’s autobiography. He was very insecure of his position in Genesis. That’s amazing to me, since I thought he MADE them.

I’ve been a fan since the very beginning. Saw them live in Houston, in a small coliseum in the early 70’s, when Gabriel was prancing around in a dick costume. I was happy to see him leave. That’s when the band really started to take off.

Phil’s had a hectic life. Those guys performed a LOT! I saw them 5 times, over a period of almost 40 years… three different cities, two continents. Last time was in Olympic stadium in Munich. They went a long way from a dump hall in Houston.

Any Genesis fan knows Tony Banks made Genesis, ironically he's the only member who didn't have solo success.

Thanks. I’ll have to check out his autobiography.

Does he include much on how they created the music?

I hope you mean Peter Gabriel.. There is/was a Christian band named Gabriel.
