I used to riff with my friends:
“Just say a word....OHH!
Stu, stu, stupido!”
“Thriller”...early in video era. Still cool!
So take....take him home...
He is waiting to take you with him....................
The day my daughter was born live-streaming was still 50-60 years away!😃

Who Knows?
I understand the feeling.
I’ve said previously that I think Genesis’ song “Domino (Parts 1 and 2)” is the veritable anthem of Covid and all the craziness going on now. The first time I heard the song, it was the live version at Wembley Stadium during the Invisible Touch tour, which looked and sounded spectacular. So, I was initially excited at the prospect of catching Genesis when their final tour came through Chicago.
In the end, I didn’t go because the United Center had a vax mandate to attend, but soon after I was able to view the entire concert on YouTube. Wow...what a letdown compared to the video from 1986.
Also sung about a Rat.
.
???
Guys like that can get away with it because the fans are singing along, McCartney is in the same boat, his voice is shot but nobody cares, because they can’t hear him anyway since everyone around them is singing.
I am shocked that more people haven’t heard of Brand X. They were amazing.
One of my faves, from the second album:

Morris Pert on percussion gave this album a whole different dimension. BTW I have been a fan since the late 1970s (yes, I am that old).
“For some reason, my favorite song by him during that era was “Easy Lover” which was a duet with Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire.”
Likewise. An absolutely ripping rhythm section.
Late 1970s? That’s not old. Mature wisdom and experience.
Oh really?
Now if Gabriel would just take the stick out of his ass and go back to Genesis, with Collins' blessing, square the circle.
My favorite song of his was “I Don’t Care Anymore.” I used to sing it in my office at times.
He has donated a lot of artifacts to The Alamo.
Sing in a prog rock band, go bald.
“My favorite song of his was “I Don’t Care Anymore.” I used to sing it in my office at times.”
I can relate :). I felt that way for several years prior to retirement.
Nothing wrong with Phil’s first two solo albums.
I think I bought my first Brand X LP within a year or two of its original release date. Their heyday was 1976-1980.
I was just hinting at the fact that I’m not a millennial or Gen Xer.
😁
Saw him live once on June 23, 1985
