Russian deputy defense minister Yunus-Bek Evkurov visits a Russian soldier who lost his leg in Ukraine and tells him: “I hope you’ll get back on your feet”.

So much tragedy on all sides, and more to come thanks to Putin. I am so glad my son is retiring this year from Special Forces. After Gulf War 1, and 3 other years spent in Afghanistan and other Middle East locations, I am just glad he has all his limbs, and is only somewhat affected by other symptoms.

I’ve seen all this in Walter Reed, while visiting on behalf of the DC Chapter of FR throughout the Afghan and Iraq Wars.
When Biden dumped Afghanistan to the wolves, so many injured men and women whom I saw there came to mind.
