The Framing of Eric Greitens
@AmandaMilius
Exactly.
Unless someone shows me something real and convincing, I can smell an op from far away at this point.
I’ve always know @EricGreitens as a kind, charming and respectful guy who’s very dedicated to Am First policies so it doesn’t surprise me that the attacks continue.

can you summarize this story in a couple sentence?
Former governor who resigned after an affair but there were also “ethics violations” which have all been dropped (I believe).
He is running for U.S. Senate
Seem his ex-wife had a meeting in DC last week with “party people”, one of them being Karl Rove. A few days later the hit piece surfaces.
Seems that Mitch McConnell is running against Donald Trump and trying to stop MAGA Senate candidates from taking over the Senate. Mitch is using Karl Rove to run dirty tricks on people like Eric Greitens,
He made his own bed. Wakaru?
Former wife accuses him of abuse; former mistress accuses him of revenge porn. Does that sound like someone who would make a great Senator?
From what I can tell a lot of it is accusations and gossip.
Every other ethics violation or complaint against him has been dropped and he vigorously defends himself.
They did threaten to impeach him so he ended up resigning.
Rove crap.
The Rinos won’t die.
Still screwing us over.
He must have seen some poll numbers. Perhaps the former Gov. is doing well.
Josh Hawley knows the state better than anyone and he is supporting Vicki Hartzler. Eric Schmitt is also a strong candidate.
Greitens had his chance to do something great and he blew it.
Sad but true. Hartzler is the one here.
I did not vote for Greitens in the primary when he ran for governor. I don’t like the guy one bit. I did vote for him in the general, simply because he was running against a Democrat. I will not be voting for him in the primary for Senate.
Has Trump made an endorsement?
I like Hawley, but he should stay out of the primary. Greitens was a dry run for Trump, as we all should know, because he is a fighter in the Trump style and because he opposed the corrupt LIHTC gravy train. Resigned rather than bankrupt himself.
This is why Parson and Kehoe need to go.
“ Former wife accuses him of abuse; former mistress accuses him of revenge porn. Does that sound like someone who would make a great Senator?”
I’m voting for him because both the Democrats & The RINOs are attacking him. He has got to be good. This “Former” whatever dog & pony show that the Uniparty drags out is getting old. This has been done to Roy Moore, Donald Trump, & even Sarah Palin via her daughter. I don’t understand why anyone would buy into these election year accusers.
IIRC, he was ahead. He vowed to vote against Mitch McConnell for speaker if he won the Senate race. Then McConnell teamed up with Rove, brought in the ex-wife who is in a custody battle with Greitins for the kids (right now, I believe, he has custody), then the smear campaign began.
You are correct. I was disappointed in Hawley. As an attorney, he should know better as the statements were hyperbolic, if not slanderous. I hope Hawley isn’t compromised in some way by McConnell as I do like him.
Same here. Thankfully we have closed primaries. I rarely vote in the primary for the repub most likely to win the primary. I do vote in the general for whichever repub won the primary.
Missourians tend to go all in on one person but there’s usually not this much of a selection. Greitens, Long, Hartzler, Schmidt. The latter three actually have political experience and have made it through multiple terms after being elected. Greitens couldn’t even make it through one term.
It’s going to come down to Hartzler or Schmidt. I’ve never liked grinning Greitens. If you read his bio, he was a real go getter with a big ego, a rising star and humanitarian, right up until he swapped from dem to repub and became governor. Then he blew his life up because he couldn’t keep it in his pants. Couldn’t have made a better trojan horse if he was trying.
Between that and these new allegations, many ultra conservative Christians and any woman who’s gone through a divorce or had/has an ahole for a husband or even thinks they did/do, won’t be voting for Greitens.
