Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had 10 different substances in his system when he died, Colombia's attorney general said Saturday in a statement. Hawkins, 50, was found dead in his hotel room in Bogotá on Friday night, shortly before the band was set to perform in the capital city.
Among the drugs found by a urine toxicological test performed by officials were marijuana, opioids, antidepressants and benzodiazepines, the statement said. An exact cause of death was not announced, and the National Institute of Forensic Medicine continues to investigate, the attorney general said.
The band said in a statement Friday that Hawkins' death was a "tragic and untimely loss."

He struggled with drugs, but never really got sober. Instead he “had a system that worked” for him.
Or didn’t, I guess.
In Hawkin’s case it’s worse. He nearly OD’d 20 years ago. Got a second chance he did. Now at 50 he dies needlessly?
Very predictable. Event being repeated many times a day. I wonder if drug addicts were forced to watch fatally overdosed peoples autopsies, if that would decrease addiction or overdose numbers.
There were multiple drugs found in the room where Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins died, according to a report out of Colombia which cited official sources.
“Colombian authorities found: marijuana, antidepressants, opioids, heroine [sic]. At least 10 different substances found,” tweeted journalist Luis Carlos Velez on Saturday afternoon, citing Fiscalia Colombia, the national attorney general’s office.
The first thing that came to mind about Taylor was his cameo in this SNL bit

Another story says he called the hotel desk complaining of chest pain.
Police place drugs to incriminate people.
Results can be had nearly instantaneously when the urine glows in the dark in Technicolor and is hypergolic.
Hmmm. No one takes anti-depressants recreationally. I think the drugs these rock musicians take recreationally screw with their brain chemicals resulting in depression and anxiety. Hence they are put on anti-depressants and benzodiazepines. Unfortunately, they also self medicate with other drugs.
Foo Fighters was founded by Dave Grohl after the death of Kurt Cobain. He was the drummer for Nirvana prior to that. After founding Foo Fighters, Grohl took over as lead singer and guitarist. I'm 67 and even I knew that.
Never in a million years did I ever think that dude would live past 30 never mind into his 70s. I remember when Jimi Hendrix died I said Keith Richards is next and here we are 52 years later: HE JUST WON’T DIE! Lol lol lol Even after he fell out of a tree a few years ago and split his head open, STILL he lives!
Never heard of the guy either. I have heard of the band, but could not name a single Foo Fighters song.
Nope. Any hospital ER can find that out in minutes.
Exactly.
They did a couple of Bee Gees disco covers last year.
I don’t see how they can go on without Taylor, the FF were pretty much him and Dave.
“urine toxicological test performed by officials were marijuana, opioids, antidepressants and benzodiazepines, the statement said.”
No matter the doses, that’s probably enough to kill Keith Richards too.
Damn.

My local news said his heart was was enlarged twice it’s normal size, with at least 10 drugs found in urine sample.
