Two would-be robbers got locked inside their own crime scene after trying to hold up a smoke shop - with one of the crooks firing 30 rounds in a failed bid to open the door before falling on his face.
The Fresno Police Department is looking for a robbery suspect who is still at large after he and two others attempted to rob a Pipes R Us Smoke Shop on East Kings Canyon Road on February 25 around 9.15pm.
Two suspects, Jasmine Hernandez, 26, and Jose Montano, 27, were captured after the robbery, but police are still looking for 34-year-old Adrian Montejano.
Montejano and Hernandez entered the store with firearms, according to police, and demanded money from a store employee.
'Montejano demanded money from the victim as Hernandez gathered the money in a plastic bag,' police said in a press release.
However, when the two bandits tried to make off with the money, they were locked inside the own crime scene by another employee who had left.
Surveillance footage, released by police, showed the employee remaining the store opening the safe for the robbers, who came around the counter as Hernandez shoved the money into a plastic grocery bag.
Once they realized they were locked inside, Montejano started firing bullets at the door, attempting to break the lock. After running out of ammunition, Hernandez handed her gun over to her half-witted partner-in-crime, who began firing again, shattering the glass.
The Fresno Police reported '30 rounds' hit the door, but it 'remained ineffective.'

PERFECT!!
There’s a video!
Sounds like the scene out of Snach when they try to rob the sports book.
That is hilarious.😂
Shooting off a lock only happens on TV.

Well, it did happen on a lock on a gate blocking a forest service road that led up to a high overlook above Sitka AK when a tsunami warning was issued.
A Citizen used his 44 Mag to unlock the padlock.
Fellow Citizens drove up the road and waited out the warning.
The Citizen later did pay for the lock, making things right.
I’ve seen a few videos where it worked well on some padlocks. The bigger the caliber, the better. A well-placed shot or two can get you through a door knob if you use some good engineering thinking going into the project.
