I got it for the second time on January 7, 2022, with a positive home test on January 12th. I’d been taking all the recommended supplements (zinc, vitamins C & D, quercetin, turmeric, NAC, etc.) for over a year plus I started the ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine (from India, $209) once I got sick.

My symptoms initially were headache, fever, fatigue, muscle aches & sore throat. Later I lost my sense of taste for 5 days. The cough and fatigue were the worst and unfortunately, even with the above regimen, I was pretty severely impacted by this virus. It was a month before I felt semi-normal and it took me 6 weeks to recover.

Thank God I never progressed to pneumonia and hospitalization. I’m 68 with mild hypertension, but my husband’s 73-year-old BIL died from Covid & pneumonia on January 6th and my own 69-year-old brother died of the same on January 26th. Both of those events weighed heavily on my mind during my illness.

The worst thing about this virus is how differently it affects ppl. My husband was the one who brought it home and he was over it and back to work in 5 days, FFS!

You might have died from it had you not been willing to attack it with something. Sounds like your body provided a perfect storm to wreck havoc. Might be some genetic factor

Yup, people’s mileage will vary with the thing. Some barely notice it, others have the tragic experience you family has had to deal with. Life offers no guarantee other than that it ends someday.

>>It was a month before I felt semi-normal and it took me 6 weeks to recover.<<

I came down with the WuHuFlu too around the end of Dec. 2021. The wife started feeling bad Christmas day. She was over it in a few days.

Me...good grief! We both were taking 200mg HCQ each week as a prophylaxis. If I was around hoards of folks at work, I'd typically take another 200mg HCQ on that day. All the C, Zinc, D3, multi and tumeric.

I came down with it a few days after my wife. After the first couple of days, I tested with home kit...positive. Tested again with a different home kit for verification..positive.

About the forth day, symptoms got progressively worse. Splitting headache, low grade fever, severe cold/flu like symptoms. I began Ivermectin around day 4 or 5. Increased my HCQ as well.

Recovered from Omicron and developed bronchitis. Nasty cough for about two and a half weeks maybe three. Finally went to urgent care clinic. They gave me antibiotics, steroids and cough meds. Finally got over the bronchitis then developed a sinus issue. Head full of mucous for days.

All in all...sick for close to six weeks. Fine now. Still a pure blood. Damn...that was a tough go.
