Reading that one made me laugh. When we were kids in the late '50's our parents would go to Manganaro's in the Bronx to buy Italian hero sandwiches to take to the game. They were fabulous. No one ever accused us of harboring plans to actually throw anything at anyone. How things have changed.

If you’re bringing fruit to a ballgame you’re doing it wrong.

Lotta places these days won’t let you bring in anything except sealed water bottles.

We bought the dirty water dogs they sold. I often went when the white Sox were playing as we got free front row seats because my godmothers brother in law relief pitched for the chisox. I would walk from the visiting Doug out seating to the Yankees Doug out to see my hero’s. Being in those seats were great. I remember going may two-three times with those seats. When Dad had to pay we wound up behind a girder somewhere in the thin air
