Agreed, even a fly in bunker in a remote valley in the side of a mountain could eventually be hiked too by very rugged and well trained people. The average person would die of exposure and hunger well before they ever reached that remote of a compound. With billions to spend on a bunker you could put up automated defence systems think like the Israelis have automated machine gun turrets with mm wave radar that see through smoke. Add in a iron curtain like killzone with a dmz between electrified fences with claymores and bounding mines. Then have at your entrances flame throwers and behind that high powered X ray generators why because you can literally cook someone with 1000+ rads in seconds with a high powered X ray generator it’s an invisible beam of assured death. You can put 2000 REM a min on a target from hundreds of meters away. That not only has a 100% fatality rate it makes the person violently ill immediately with uncontrollable vomiting and diarrhea as your inside under go necrosis and turn to bloody liquids. These weapons are illegal under the rules of war but with billionaire money and used only after the social.contract has ended who cares. That’s how I would fortify my remote bunker with a billion to blow. The simpler way would be to have some cobalt 60 rods in lead lined underground silos when the SHTF and you go inside the bunker you raise those rods to be exposed at all of your entrances those rods will throw off gamma rays like a white hot glowing furnace but completely invisible except for a faint blue air glow as the air molecules are ripped apart by the gamma rays. Getting within 50 meters would be certain death the only first clue would be a overwhelming feeling of nausea and if you closed your eyes yellow flashes as the sodium ions in your eyes get hit with gamma rays. No one would be able to come close to the entrances without getting a lethal dose in seconds. That’s what you can do with billionaire money.
