Mine also!
My family’s heritage is mostly Irish on both sides, with a little English and Scottish thrown in there, but I love kraut, sausages and potato salad. Kraut is one of the very few ways I’ll eat cabbage. Despite my Irish heritage, I can’t stand boiled cabbage. 😖
That sounds delicious! (#78)
My wife loved boiled cabbage. Just the aroma of it wafting through the house was enough to make me start gagging.
If cabbage has a use outside of cole slaw and kraut it can’t be good and isn’t for me.
LOL - you just named the only two ways I will eat cabbage.
And don’t even get me started on Brussels sprouts. 🤢
“And don’t even get me started on Brussels sprouts.”
Those little green cabbages that parents try to foist on kids are a blight upon the earth!
And they make your gas smell funny, I know because I used to work with a guy that LOVED the little Belgian cabbages. He would break wind all day after eating them. Gag a maggot off a gut wagon!
I only went there for the potato cakes and jamocha shake :(
I like cabbage in my minestrone and stuffed cabbage. It’s all got to be Italian style!
Someone gave us some kale a few months ago. I boiled it and the smell had me gagging for days. I ended up tossing it because the smell made me so sick.
Kale is nasty, just nasty.
My mom eats cabbage but sauerkraut and coleslaw are the only ways I can take. If you start cooking it I’m headed for the hills.😬
Jamocha Shakes!
I hope you enjoyed that!
They are so good, I can only eat 1/2 at a sitting. Fortunately, the other half keeps well overnight in my reFRigerator!
