My wife and I spent the weekend there and rolled with the Convoy Saturday.
I hate to say it but the media blackout of this event has been very effective including Fox. 9 out of 10 people don't even know its going on.
Wow, Saturday’s going to be great. Sadly I’ll be 500 miles away.
I heard Mark Levin discussing it on Patriot Radio.

Last week I mentioned The People’s Convoy to the people I worked with and none of them had a clue about it.
I work 2 miles from the D.C. Beltway!!
This was my second weekend with the convoy. This time my wife came along. She’s been monitoring the streamers to the point they’ve almost become friends.
She wanted to stay home and watch but I told her that she had to go experience it.
She loves camping but convinced me to stay in a hotel Friday night.
We saw one of the streamers at the hotel and as we were checking in the clerk asked how we knew her. We told him about the convoy, that is encamped a few miles away. He had no idea.
He does now.
I used a chalk marker to write on my car “The greatest power of the media is the power to ignore.”
That’s exactly what they are doing.
The main organizer has a mantra...They work for us!
It’s high time they got that message.
The People’s Convoy has received scant coverage from either Conservatism, Inc. outlets like Fox or on alt-right websites and podcasts, such as Alex Jones and Joe Rogan. There are two reasons: (1) the waning of COVID restrictions even in the blue states and (2) the Russian-Ukrainian War.
Not the only reasons.
It’s ineffective. There are not actually a lot of trucks that would actually cause real trouble, AND they agreed to be very polite and compliant. A hundred tractors without trailers circling the Beltway in single file is not going to make any impact. Not like the Canadians who apparently had many, many complete trucks that Sat nd blocked things.
Tell me when a protest was supposed to be compliant? Channeling my Chris Cuomo.
Even Bannon hasn’t mentioned in a while at least from what I’ve seen.
The fact the local hotel clerk knew nothing about it should tell you all you need to know.

By just doing that, being nice and polite, they caused the Mayor or higher ups, who in fear (imagining the trucks were going to roll downtown and occupy the Capitol) ordered the DC police to shut down exits into DC, which jammed up commuters. The convoy didn’t cause any jams, only the politicians.
The politicians have been doing this every day, but they don’t know when the trucks are coming so they have to keep cops ready for it all the time. The complaints must be rolling in because the police started trting different schemes to just open exits for commuters instead of total blockage, but doing so may open th city up for discrimination suits, etc.
Even with the media studiously ignoring or misreporting it, some libs have become so enraged by harmless truckdrivers and the sight of flags that they are trying to cause accidents by brake checking, etc. Sometimes this has resulted in truckdrivers catching the culprits by boxing them in. Some dude in a Tesla got boxed in and frankly, he reminded me of an agent provocateur or perhaps some FBI weenie like Peter Strzok, maybe hoping to provoke a truck driver into a physical confrontation.
We are Hopeful that a biker convoy joins up soon.
Time and money is a problem sustaining a large enough presence which can compete with the daily news.
How long the truckers can hold on may determine whether or not this grows.
This is a peoples convoy which needs non-truckers to show up big time. IMHO.
Now is not the time, closer to election and convoy for conservative causes, right now there is not that much to complain about that uninformed people to care, having Trump rally up the troops will get all kinds of folks on the road.
They are getting blamed for it. Obvious logic - if the truckers weren’t pulling this, the “authorities” (with whom they have coordinated!) wouldn’t be blocking our precious libs’ commutes.
I was permanently banned on reddit/maryland the other day after A SINGLE POSTING in a whole thread of liberal commuters damning the truckers and bragging how they give them the finger. Ostensibly because I had “COVID misinformation” due to stating COVID nonsense is not over.
They couldn’t actually complain that it did much - which is my point. a few Truckers in just their cabs going single file will not do much of anything.
What were these commies complaining about? The very fact they don’t like their views on COVID. They could not actually complain about traffic problems outside the overreactive cops.
So, there you go - they are not making an impact, in truth. Not to mention the hotel clerk who didn’t even know they were in his neighborhood. This is not like the Canadians who forced their hands.

Timing is indeed poor.
BUT, as I stated on reddit/maryland and they banned me immediately, the COVID “mandates” are NOT over. not for me. They will not take that damn requirement down at my college job. I’m flying under the radar to keep the job without complying, but if I want to apply for a better opportunity there - they still state you must vax or test constantly. Neither of which I will do.
Mandate-by-fiat is the order of the day!
