No picture, name, or description of the suspect, but the arrest report did mention she had difficulty properly conjugating the verb ‘to be’

The article is poorly written but with two dead cops I’d have to guess she was not drunk if they put that sentence in the article near the end.

I believe anyone who takes a drug meant to take away all sanity and volition should be held responsible for all subsequent actions performed as though they premeditated those crimes.
It’s no different than going into a supermarket, putting on a blindfold, then pulling out your gun and randomly shooting.
Why can’t you just say that you didn’t read the sentence that says a DUI investigation is not taking place in the first article? And since it’s at the end of the article I’d say that takes precedence. We weren’t discussing any press conference today.

My understanding of “not investigating it” as a DUI is that she’s going to be charged with murder.
I agree that the article was poorly written. Journalism graduates these days need some remedial grammar and diction lessons.

Apparently they were stopping her, then were called to higher priority of the third man walking the highway. They left her to accost that man and keep him from danger. Ironically.

They might have told her to stay there in her car until they could answer the other, more important call (man walking on the freeway, in danger).
The last ticket I got (years ago) was for rolling through a stop sign. The motorcycle cop was writing me up when a woman driver sped right by us. He asked me to remain there while he went after her. I complied.
