A 50-year-old man has died after he collapsed during a 5,000m walk event at Singapore Athletics' (SA) All Comers Meet 2 on Saturday morning (March 19).
The Straits Times understands he dropped to the ground within the first kilometre of his event, which began at 8am.
First aiders from the medical providers stationed at the Home of Athletics in Kallang rushed to the man's aid, before ambulance and paramedics arrived shortly after. They sent the man to Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he died.

With the new vaxxed society, 50 is becoming the new 75.
First question... was he Covid vaccinated? Second question... how long ago? Third question... did he have a known heart condition before?
Questions asked in the appropriate order.
A walk even is 3 miles? My wife and I do double that every day....so we’re “Olympic material”?

All right here we go with the tin foil. JFC.
“ All right here we go with the tin foil. JFC.”
Where did he say anything tin-foilish? You seem a bit sensitive to the fact that perhaps the jabs aren’t as safe as we’ve been told. How many did you take?
An honest person would want to know. An honest person would question all of these “unexpected” deaths. But here you are, calling people who are honestly asking these questions tin foil hatters. JFC yourself
Guess you didn’t get the memo.
They’re not conspiracy theories anymore.
They’re spoilers.
Here’s a question: Anyone been to the doc lately? Is the vaxx hard sell still on? Are refuseniks being accused of listening to and/or spreading misinformation? Are you being asked what could get you to take a vaxx? Is there a preference in recommending the mRNA vaxxes over all others?
Just curious.
