My first bike was a Honda 305 Scrambler. It had up swinging tail pipes and snuff-or-nots were used as a muffler / strait pipe system. It was pretty loud and pretty good as a hill climber.

I would love to get my hands on a Yamaha RD400. They’ve all but disappeared.

When I was a teenager wanting a bike, I took my dad down
to Al Rodi’s old shop to look at them. So my father asked
Al what the difference was between a Triumph and a Harley.
Rodi said that he and my dad could each ride one to
the west coast but when they got there, my father riding
the Triumph wouldn’t be able to walk but Al said he would
get off and fu*k all night.
My dad hustled me out of there.
hahahah.

One of my fathers friends, had a beemer that he used to
take on business trips, till he fell asleep one night
and left the road. He was lucky though.

I have a 1967 Super Hawk in my garage. All original equipment. Sport version of the Honda Dream. Bought it from the orig owner in 1970. It was a chick magnet my senior year at Iowa State. Yeah, I’m 72 and living the dream.

As usual Honda is late to the party and adds the Honda Tax to every model.

Did you have the red or green one? The green ones are faster.

My ZRX 100 was green, but I kept it next to my ‘81 Kawasaki GPz 1100, which was red. I used to call them the twin devils, the red devil and the green devil. BTW, the GPz was much faster off the line than the ZRX

I got a used ZRX1100 and the guy had a yoshimura pipe on it that was loud but made it run worse than the stock pipe, which I re-installed. I bought a jet kit and it really woke the motor up with the Yoshi pipe. Fun bike. Many times I wished I kept it.
