8cm-wide (3-inch-wide) bladder stone, which are normally so small they are hard to see with the naked eye.

Even at almost 72, I don't have any trouble seeing things that are 3-inches wide.

Also, I had to use "self-inflicted" catheters for a while and I can't imagine inserting something 3-inches round in there.

That having been said, I prefer the "self-inflicted" kind over the kind that are inserted and inflated to stay in place. Hurts just to think about it.

There's nothing normal about this situation.
