This reminds me a bit of tying personal seat licenses to season ticket sales. I’ve heard that in many cities with new stadiums, that to buy season tickets, you also had to buy personal seat licenses for that seat, for the privilege of buying the actual tickets.
It’s a money making scheme for the team, to require you to buy season tickets for two whole seasons even if you just want 1 season.
But as others have noted, the easy solution is just say no, just don’t buy the tickets, if they attach these conditions to ticket sales.

I really have no problem with this. They are not requiring traditional ticket holders to do this, just new purchasers of season tickets who will largely consist of fly-by-Brady fans.
I have tons of DVDs for things I actually like.

F*ck the anti-American NFL. F*ck them on a pogo stick! I will make damned sure they never, ever, receive so much as a nickel or a view from me.
It's been quite some time. I used to see shirts, caps, jackets, flags, and stickers on cars everywhere I looked. Now I'll see a faded car sticker once in a while and very rarely see an old team jacket but other than that, I don't see NFL sports team paraphernalia anywhere.
