A week, they say? curiouser all the time. That ship packs 75,000 horsepower. The notion that it couldn’t sweep away some mud and pull itself back thru its own skidmark is a bit hard to swallow. And the dredge can’t work under the ship anyway. It sounds like someone needs a week to clean up something-—bbbbuuuutttt what is it?

very. expert Chesapeake Bay Pilot could run aground. Granted it’s pretty easy to run aground in the Chesapeake — done it a few times — but the shipping lanes are well marked, and the CB Pilots know every inch of the Bay. Something just doesn’t add up.
