I wish I had declined it. I had the MOSE procedure done on the cancer on the side of my nose. They had to create a flap to cover the spot. It left a soft scar tissue bump between my lip and nostril. They said they can “shave” it, but the recovery was so miserable the first time that I decided to live with it. They said it doesn’t always happen but it does happen.

I declined the Mose procedure on my nose while looking at a really messed up nose on the person who would be performing it. I opted to go to a plastic surgeon who said “Mose just leaves us with ragged edges to the area to be repaired.”
