A puritanical Christian who gives up their Natural rights (regardless of religion denominational “directive”— which is clearly subject to the interpretation of leaders of a sect/denomination) for self-protection needs to do some hard reflection. The “government” whom they give up their rights to, is not legitimate. The Social Christian Democrats gave in to the “RULE” of Hitler and the National Socialist German Worker’s Party, which also directed that Jews could not own any firearms. Those Christians were herded into the concentration death camps along with Jews, Gypsies, homos, Catholics and Lutheran clergy and believers. So— frankly- it is massive folly to follow “leaders” who instruct one on the basis of “religious” direction to give up a Natural Right.
In the case of the US Constitution’s Bill of Rights which are not separable from the Constitution whatsoever and which the Founders recognized was the last line of defense against Tyranny and imposed dictatorship (which the Founders escaped European Monarchical Tyranny)- the Second Amendment declared that any Government may not infringe the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, in the direct context of the People being the Militia needed to be maintained so a Govt. cannot remove a Free State, this self same People may NOT have their Arms, firearms or otherwise taken from them! Period. No Question. And no dissembling fractal subservient logic may substitute for the Right enshrined in our Constitution.
The Bible God commands us to submit to government unless it conflicts with our relationship with Him or with his directives to us. From a biblical standpoint, there is no “right”, except that of eternal damnation because of our sinful nature. Life is not fair. There is pain and suffering. Bad things happen to good people. God has His reasons. God has His plan. He never promised his followers an easy path, but the opposite. Our life here is brief.
