TOKYO (Kyodo) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has approached Japan about delivering a virtual speech to parliament, lawmakers familiar with the matter said Wednesday, as he continues to rally international support to defend his country from Russia's invasion.
Will he mention Pearl Harbor like he did today?
Just a number another World Economic Forum junket and scam.
He’s taking his begging tour all over the world.
They can provide their most formidable squads of anime warriors.

He is losing big time. His Air Force is no where to be found, in fact his AF general announced they have many pilots but no planes. He started early on by issuing weapons to civilians, signaling to the world his military can’t stop Ivan. His days are short- he might just have to sit down with Vlad and accept Vlads terms.
1) No NATO- Zelensky just stated no NATO. Check.
2) abolishing Azov and Neo Nazi’s, check. Vlad has flattened most of the Neo Nazi’s hang outs- from Mariupol to Lugansk.
3) Agree to become a neutral nation…..in the works.
In the meantime, Vlad tightens the screws.
Dude, Japan gave up that “Bushido Code Banzai crap” a long time ago.
Four of my great uncles “helped” them lose that attitude in the Pacific War between 1941-1945.
Zelensky has to show to our Democrat Party Organized Crime Syndicate that he’s doing everything possible to keep the dirty money going to them.
“Will he mention Pearl Harbor like he did today?”
LMAO! Funniest thing I have read all day.
This guy is like one of the homeless people out begging.
He should rethink that. Unless he brings up the Mongols.
He’s dressed like it, at least.
He’ll figure out a way to work in the Rape of Nanjing.
Japan has a bigger Navy than the UK, and more fighter jets are stationed to defend the Japanese Islands than the Continental United States.
They have top of the line weapon systems, and plenty of them. Lots of America’s best gear like F-35 jets. Lots of ATGMs. They also have a mountain of Harpoon anti-ship missiles, that could get tested against Russian warships, and defend Odessa.
No one expected Germany to break their post WWII prohibition on sending weapons into a conflict zone, but they did in a big way for the Ukraine. Japan could too, if they decide to. This is a golden opportunity for them to break out of those old constraints.
Japan recently (in the last days) reverted to language that asserts their claim to the Kuril islands, occupied by Russia since WWII.
Good,
I’m glad the Japs are getting tougher.
However, until they prove something in actual warfare, I’m a skeptic regardless of their *technological prowess.
*Beau,
I’m in the manufacturing sector, so I’m very knowledgeable about Japanese CNC machinery capabilities and the productivity they enable. In fact, I wouldn’t mind if the Japanese added 10-20% more industrial capacity in the United States over the next decade.
Can anyone point me to the FR threads on the Bombing of the Drama Theater in Mariupol yesterday, and the mass civilian casualties there? And any other threads on Russian military activity?
Japan has actually played a significant role in several conflicts that the US has been involved with in recent decades - The Gulf War, Afghanistan, Iraq.
Their usual contribution is a mountain of money, and non-lethal aid, like trucks and computers. They can certainly fund a lot of humanitarian relief and reconstruction.

Tokyo,
I haven’t seen any today, but my Free Republic time was limited due to my work schedule.
I will tell you when I got home my wife was in tears due to Russians killing Ukrainian women & children. (Don’t know what event she saw but she was extremely upset)
We talked about the Russian/Ukraine War without any understanding.
She changed the subject to why interest rates were going up, after 20 minutes of trying to explain inflation & interest rates to her.
“I gave up.”
So I asked my 6 year old son if he wanted to play catch. He nodded yes, which made my night.
The current state of the world is very sad & tragic.
