Okay, for those of us unfamiliar with Jewish holidays/celebrations, what is Purim?
The Biblical story in the Book of Esther. Feast of Lots.
‘Purim’ are ‘lots’, like dice. The villain cast them to determine the best date to kill Jews (Esther Chapt. 9).
And on St. Pat’s day to boot!
Many similarities between Esther and Patrick. Both found themselves in unpleasant (to say the least) circumstances “for such a time as this”

Now I have more question, lol. Is this an official Jewish holiday and why would a “best date to kill Jews be celebrated or acknowledged”. Is there more to the story as to why Purim has its own day (is it just one day or plural days)? Inquiring minds (mine) want to know.

Queen Esther convinced the Persian king to allow Jews to defend themselves, which they did very successfully. The villain Haman and his henchmen sons were hanged.
