Parents had Herb Albert playing back in the day. Its on my playlist. Along with other “Great Music” which is still being made. Boomer. :)
There are two words in the English language that are said to be unrhymable. Orange and Purple.
Roger Miller rhymed purple with maple syruple in Dang Me.
He was absolutely great.
Once saw a very interesting interview with one of Roger Miller’s producers who talked about how hard it was to get Roger to focus. But once you got Roger to focus, it was magic.

Back when the Grammy’s had something to work with, and no wokeness to turn off the crowd. Imagine, cigarettes :)
Rules Indeed. :)
And Herb was the “A” in A&M records.
I have a friend named Roger Miller. I tease him about being king of the road.
I had that album.
LOL Hey there’s an old stogie! You gonna get it?
A&M had a lot of great albums in that era: Wes Montgomery, Jobim, Sergio Mendes and Brasil 66.
Five words that definitely don’t go together. Psychedelic, Roger Miller and Herb Alpert.
Someone else here appreciates samba!
