Yeah. Chargers on every sidewalk where people have to park. Because no thieves would ever think of stealing the copper or just have fun and vandalize them.
Stealing catalytic converters is HUGE here in CA. NOW I guess they can drain the gas while they are at it!! Catalytic converters are VERY expensive to replace I imagine a new gas tank can’t be cheap either!
So, in my feeble little brain, if I can’t plug something in using my 50ft orange extension cord, fugetaboutit. How many existing houses have the required power service to charge EVs? Well, other than a ‘hoveround’ that is. And, where we live, there are some pretty long stretches that you don’t even see another car for a long time. And some places(a lot actually) ZERO cell service.
