Fake German heiress Anna Sorokin has thwarted efforts by the US authorities to deport her from the country today by refusing to board a flight in New York.
The fraudster, 31, who conned New York socialites out of $200,00 by pretending to be German a heiress by the name of Anna Delvey, was supposed to arrive at Frankfurt airport this morning after being deported by US authorities.
But instead of getting on the flight from Newark to Frankfurt, the Russian-born scammer is reported to have made such a scene and behaved in such an aggressive manner that she was denied access to the flight.

Never underestimate the power of a true sociopath. If they’d just given her the $40M they all could have been rich. Another stupid bankers story with a sad ending.

I followed the story from back in 2016-2017. I also just recently watched “Inventing Anna” on Netflix.
This woman is a complete sociopath. She is a grifter and incredible con woman. She darn near got $40 million from NYC investment banks to start a business with ZERO experience.
She claimed to be a German/Russian heiress. In reality, her parents were Russian immigrants to Germany that owned a trucking/freight business. Her father MAY have had some connection with Russian mobsters.
The 9 part mini series on Netflix is very well done, IMHO.
She is incredibly smart. She is also incredibly dishonest.
Eventually, all her lies caught up with her. New York state sent her to prison for several years.
Why isn’t she serving years in prison for larceny and then being deported?

‘Anna supposedly fought so hard against getting onboard the flight, that in the end she was not allowed on board,’ Hoffmann said.”
I thought the same thing. She almost created a multi-million dollar business out of thin air.
If she was successful, she would have been their hero (maybe they found they could not launder money through her, so they cut her off)

She just got out of jail in the U.S. Now we are deporting her.
Yes I read the article and I quoted to you the source of the story about the Sorokin resisting boarding the flight to Germany.
This was a remarkable show, “Inventing Anna,” and maybe she’s just holding out for a community cell with other fraudsters like the Bloodbabe Elizabeth Holmes and that great French actor Juicy Smol-lay.
1) She’s gooney looking.

As I read it she only spent a year in Rikers for a $200k fraud. Seems a bit light to me.
I watched Inventing Anna. I thought it was really good. Julia Garner, the actress who portrayed Anna, was fascinating.
