WASHINGTON (AP) - Hundreds of truckers and other motorists who have been doing rolling protests on highways encircling Washington made their way into the nation’s capital Monday, snarling already-congested traffic in a demonstration against COVID-19 mandates and other grievances.
The DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency issued a traffic advisory shortly before 2 p.m. that suggested motorists delay travel or use alternative transportation “due to ongoing demonstration activity on I-395, I-695, and I-295.”
The Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department closed a number of streets and exits off the highways to prevent the protesters from coming into the city. “These rolling road closures are occurring in real-time as they are needed,” the announcement said.

Area residents took to the police department’s Twitter with a number of the comments holding city officials and the police responsible for the traffic gridlock by shutting down the exits.
Authorities sent out a second advisory about two-and-a-half hours later announcing the demonstration had ended and the freeway exits were being reopened.
The truckers, some from as far away as California and Montana, have been in the area more than a week driving from Hagerstown, Maryland, to the beltway surrounding Washington to protest COVID-19 vaccine mandates as well as voice frustration for other grievances.

Nope but it looks like the media is finally noting their existence. Convoy TOLD LE exactly where they were going. And like idiots they blocked alot of the exits. Where they had no intentions of going.

If police close even one exit on a highway, it can cause a traffic mess. MSM is lying as usual, blaming the truckers.
On a different point, we've been watching the live streams of the Convoy since they left California.
It's refreshing to see so many Patriots expressing love for God and country on a daily basis, and having a great time hanging out together.
The organizers also encourage everyone to get involved in their local government, school board exc.. and they have had speakers who present other ways to deal with all the problems in this country, such as Bonds for the Win.
Any gathering of Patriots is a great thing, especially after the last 2 horrible years.
Everybody should check out the live streams-especially at the nightly meeting (usually around 7p.m. ET). It's a nice break from the depressing news.

A friend said on Facebook the leftists have been saying everyone should be happy to pay more for gas because it supports Ukraine. Today they complained they couldn’t get home easily because the exits were closed and they were using all that expensive gas. Also, those dang truckers should just go back to work.
I would love all truckers to not deliver to any blue cities starting with DC and surrounding areas.
