So I was watching the local news the other day, and they were interviewing some guy about the increase in gas prices. The guy said he wasn’t worried, as he was going to buy an electric car. I guess he thought electricity is some magical thing that appears out of nowhere.
This wasn’t in California. The clueless are everywhere. And they vote.
What I love about the electric car people is that they think the current rate they pay for electricity will never change.
Look at California where they are over $0.40 per Kwh and have rolling blackout when demand is too high.
Then factor in the mileage tax states will impose on electric cars to fund highways due to the loss of fuel tax revenue.....and the actual ownership cost of electric will exceed an ICE vehicle very soon.
They vote a LOT. Some of them hundreds of times.
The first basic law of human stupidity asserts without ambiguity that:
Always and inevitably everyone underestimates the number of stupid individuals in circulation.
I guess he thought electricity is some magical thing that appears out of nowhere.
It seems to fall on deaf ears, to tell people that electricity has to be generated in a power plant, and in many places, the “evil” fossil fuels generate the electricity to recharge that electric car.
Too many think electricity comes out of that wall outlet. They have no conception that electricity has to be generated to be available in that wall outlet so they can plug in their cellular phone.
