What I love about the electric car people is that they think the current rate they pay for electricity will never change.

Look at California where they are over $0.40 per Kwh and have rolling blackout when demand is too high.

Then factor in the mileage tax states will impose on electric cars to fund highways due to the loss of fuel tax revenue.....and the actual ownership cost of electric will exceed an ICE vehicle very soon.

/\

Then pg&e sends you a letter asking if you have medical equipment you need a back up power source , and you send them a reply you have an oxygen generator and nebulizer and they send you a letter telling you they can’t supply a back up power supply.

Sadists.

Or the back up battery program was just another state money scim scam where the money disappeared into some non prof’s couch in Switzerland.

Spit.

Got another one again this year.

Not expecting anything different.

And they don’t understand that everything they need (groceries, household goods, etc.) is trucked in. And those trucks ain’t electric trucks. So when gas goes up, necessities go up too.

It’s called the Brandon Effect.

Electric rates will increase for sure with EV’s on the road in a few years. Then they will charge higher rates for peak times of charging like they are doing in my state for air-conditioning. YOU pay double for having air on during prime time during the day. After 7pm you don’t get charged the high rate. People will be charging cars over night, yep, prime time rate for sure.
