Life adapts.
Soon enough certain garbage will be deemed necessary for wildlife.

Like with creating artificial reefs to help ocean habitats from deep-sixing old ships, our litter becomes another helpful thing to some creatures.
I can’t imaging carrying a bottle around as my portable home.

Most of the plastic ocean pollution stems from Asia and Africa. I suppose now the UN will decree it is up to the USA to clean it up.

Imagine the great digs all the sea creatures would have if we sank all the billionaires’ mega yachts.

Nature is resourceful.
These tyrannical jackasses who worship the Earth while thinking it’s terribly fragile are just idiots.
But mostly, it’s all about being a Watermelon. “Green” religion on the outside, red on the in.
Look at how all these decades we can’t disturb shipwrecks - indeed, must sink ships in the deep - because it’s become an ecosystem that the critters and plants like.
That alone tells me lots about the nonsense about how terrible it is to “pollute”.

Not only octopi, but all small creatures make their homes in human refuse. Watch any video of the Lembeh straits. This richest environment in the world is dependent upon such trash for its very existence.

Isn’t there a thread that octopus is from outer space?
No matter, they are tasty.
And can be territorial and vicious.

In the 70s, I was fishing off the Huntington Beach pier, and ‘hung up’ on the bottom. I finally managed to work free, but still had something heavy on my line.
When I finally got it to the surface, it was a gallon mayonnaise full of mud.
When I got up onto the pier, the ‘mud’ turned out to be an octopus, about 3’ across.
An Oriental fisherman traded me his entire gunnysack of perch for it. We both got a good deal.
