Going by the available info the Everforward was leaving Baltimore heading down bay to Norfolk. All the more reason to be suspicious as to why the driver got lost since he’s obviously already been there. 11PM is no excuse in a busy place like the Chesapeake

Pretty sure the ship, while it is in the Chesapeake, would be operated by a Chesapeake Bay Pilot, who has an intimate knowledge of the Bay.
