Albuterol is a ‘Rescue Inhaler’ which is frequently ordered on a schedule, but really it should be IMO ordered PRN(as needed.) Actually, you might do better with Atrovent unless you are taking Spiriva or other Respiratory maintenance drugs.

BiPAP is NIV (non invasive ventilation) meaning no intubation involved. That stuff really does work well, but people do experience anxiety while wearing it. Personally if I ever have breathing issues again, I will be all over the NIV because I do not want to be intubated. I have been intubated twice for procedures, but I was quite sedated so I do not at all recall the experiences.

Compression socks are great. Docs love to order them. I hate them. Last year I actually purchased a pair with Donald Trump 2024 on them. I do not really need them, but they tell me to wear them (just in case.) I never do, though I wore the Trump ones twice.

I am considering switching to V.A. Health Care. I hear different things. There is a huge campus just 2 Exits away from me. Actually, I am an approved volunteer there, but they absolutely never call me.

Anyhow, I hope that you do well with your new Caregivers. Good Luck.

thanx.

Loyal should have been Loyola Medical Center.

The PCP said she wasn’t going to use a rescue inhaler but something else which I don’t remember.
She sent the Albuterol Sulphate inhaler.

I am impressed with VA today as opposed to VA in the 70’.s I went twice then and didn’t go back until 2012.

Good luck to you also.
