The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.

You are right about that. Never has there been a statement so very true. And it is happening before our very eyes and appears unstoppable. Three years ago I would have said that our prayers will be answered and we will overcome this and not allow it to happen. But now…… well knowing that God does answer our fervent prayers, I am beginning to think that perhaps in His infinite wisdom, He has other plans in mind and perhaps proceeding with the ultimate and promised fall of evil.

For me, solving it was guessing at the second word, which gave the last, then the second last, and then it was just filling in the rest of the letters.
