Tesla billionaire Elon Musk and his on-and-off again girlfriend Grimes have split for a second time, the singer has revealed, just hours after she shared the shock news that they secretly welcomed a second child together via surrogate in December.
The 33-year-old singer confirmed that the couple has called quits on their relationship in a series of tweets about her new cover interview with Vanity Fair, in which she shared the news of their baby's arrival, revealed her daughter's name, Exa Dark Sideræl or 'Y' for short, and described Elon, 50, as her 'boyfriend'.
'Me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article,' she wrote in the tweets which were posted approximately four hours after her interview was published online, and which were 'liked' by her ex Elon.
'But he’s my best friend and the love of my life.'
In her sit-down with Vanity Fair, Grimes opened up about her 'fluid' relationship with Elon, who has an estimated net worth of $228.7 billion, explaining that the couple were still romantically involved and were co-parenting their two children together, despite living in separate homes.
She also opened up about the then-couple's new arrival, but only after the Vanity Fair writer who conducted the interview at Grimes' new Austin, Texas, home overheard the baby girl crying in an upstairs room.
Having initially told the publication that she was 'not at liberty to speak on... whatever is going on with family stuff', Grimes admitted that she had welcomed a daughter with Elon, before later sharing details about the newborn's quirky name.
According to the singer, the little girl's unique first name, Exa, was inspired by the supercomputing term exaFLOPS, which is 'the ability to perform one quintillion floating-point operations per second', while her second name Dark, is a nod

I will never understand how this passes as normal for ANY couple. It’s like making the child an accessory to obtain instead of a human being to raise and love.
That happened with Abraham, Hagar, and Sarah, didn’t it? Surrogacy not a good idea. It ended up with bad blood between two tribes that affects us today.

Apparently, she had serious problems carrying her first child including the baby stomping her spine so that she couldn’t walk in her 8th month. She also hemorrhaged badly. Don’t be so quick to judge.

I’m a mother who homeschools an autistic child, so she doesn’t have to go to a public school, and my son is a U.S. Navy veteran who served four years on The Enterprise and the Truman.
He’s a well-adjusted, young, man with a great career and bought his first house when he was 24 years old, and is now working on his Master’s.
