I haven’t been in Adams Morgan in decades; but even back then it was a good place to get your car stolen.
It was a "no go" area in the 1980s and early 90s. Rising rents and the unchecked growth of the Fedzilla has helped it "gentrify" but yes - its still a good place to get your car stolen.
