I don’t see why everyone needs ‘training’ to do this. Lots of women learn in childhood and have done it all their lives. Especially if all you’re doing is braiding, and not coloring or treating hair chemically.

Do all the nail parlor people need ‘training’?

Looks like licensed nail technicians are required to have 400 hours of training in Idaho.

Remember all the old “Mommy, Mommy...” jokes?

“Mommy, Mommy, my braids are too tight!” and you stretch your face out.

I have been cutting my hubbys hair for 22 years...do I need a license to walk into a barber shop and be a barber? My hubby’s been cutting my hair for over 10 years...can’t he just go into a salon and get a job cutting ladies hair? I think not. There is a lot more to hair care than doing some fancy braiding.
