It’s for your own safety... Because braiding hair is so complicated only a highly qualified bureaucrat can regulate hair braiding.

Question to woman from Idaho; ‘where are you from?’ "The women who are bringing the lawsuit — Sonia Ekemon, Tedy Okech and Charlotte Amoussou — are all refugees from Africa..."

1,600 hours of training.
Just think about that.

I don’t see why everyone needs ‘training’ to do this. Lots of women learn in childhood and have done it all their lives. Especially if all you’re doing is braiding, and not coloring or treating hair chemically.
Do all the nail parlor people need ‘training’?

Ekemon, 40, learned to braid hair as a child while living in a refugee camp in Benin, a country in West Africa.

Well, they did not have calendars or clocks in West Africa, so how can she document her hours of experience?

My comment was kind of a lame reference to Ebonics.

” The licenses require 1,600 hours of training”
So to braid hair, you need the experience level of the number of hours and airline pilot needs for an ATP license.
