It is becoming more and more difficult to write anything that could be called “satire”, because real, actual behavior has outstripped most forms of ridicule in so many ways that it is impossible at times to distinguish poking fun at things from reported news items. Parody is a lost art, if only because of so much self-parody that parades as “innovative”.

The modern progressive view of reality might be characterized as, "Every person's primary responsibility is to not offend anyone."
The historical military view of reality might be characterized as, "Every soldier's primary responsibility is to kill and destroy."
The two priorities do not seem very compatible. A 'woke' military will be an entirely incompetent military...
