Dissident from the 6th "A" [Putin vs 6th grader]

Kirill (we do not indicate his last name at the request of his mother) is 12 years old, he studies in the 6th grade of a Moscow school...

On Friday, March 4, sixth graders had their usual history lesson. Cyril himself tells about what happened:

The teacher said: "Actually, this is not discussed with the sixth graders, but if you want to understand what is happening, then ask questions."

And I started asking questions. I asked: “Why did Putin [start a ‘special operation’]?”

To this the teacher replied that it was a "special operation."

She said: “I don’t know exactly where our troops are now, but if they had stopped halfway, the Ukrainian aggression would have continued.”

A small part of the class was on my side, they also asked questions.

The teacher said: “Specialists from Ukraine and the United States are now making fake posts, they say that people are beaten at rallies. But the rallies must be coordinated.”

I asked: “How can a rally against the actions of the government itself be coordinated with the government?” She didn't really give me an answer.

After that, I asked the question, why did someone start this at all and when will it all end?

She said that Ukraine started it, and it will end when Ukraine capitulates.

She also told us that Nazism is flourishing among Ukrainians, that from the first grade it is written in textbooks that Ukraine is a superpower.

I have many friends from Ukraine, I asked them - they do not have this in their textbooks.

The rest of the story:

The boy's mother gets a call from an unknown number, a woman's voice tells her to come talk to the police. The mother says she will come only if she receives a summons.

The next morning her son's teacher calls and asks her to come to a meeting, saying that officers of the Juvenile Affairs Inspectorate want to have a conversation with her and her son.

She goes to the school and grabs her son and gets him into a taxi just as a group of police arrive.

The next day the son is home alone. Police come and knock but the boy does not open the door. They knock for half an hour and leave a summons for interrogation under the door.

Then the police turn off the electricity to the apartment.

***************

Of course, it could have been much worse for the 6th grader.

He could have been at the January 6 protest in D.C.!

The Russian news site uses this phrase “Why did Putin [start a ‘special operation’]?” instead of “Why did Putin start a war” because it is illegal in Russia for media to refer to it as a war.

They must use the government-approved term “special operation.”

Is a “special operation” sort of like a “police action”?

Asking for a friend . . .

He’s going to be very good at math as he’s counting trees in Siberia.

Except that our government didn’t have the power to make it illegal for others to call it a war.

That pesky First Amendment thingy.

Nowadays they just get their pals in Big Tech to censor what they don’t like.

Like the FBI and US Marshals did at Ruby ridge.

When he gets old enough he’ll be sent to the Ukrainian Front.

Ironic that Russia now has its own “Russian Front”
