Republicans in the Arizona Legislature are now fighting to repeal an “emergency bill” that radically alters how the precinct committeemen will be selected in the state.
The legislature voted in favor of RINO Arizona House Speaker Rusty Bowers’ HB2839 after President Trump released a statement supporting the “Precinct Strategy” organization enlisting America First Patriots to their local County Republican Party committees, positions which are too often left vacant. The new change will allow county supervisors in Arizona to appoint the political party precinct committee members instead of elections.

my understanding from Bannon’s Warroom: they’re putting up a repeal but even if they get 2/3’s to repeal in each house (unlikely). gope ducey would still have to sign the repeal too.

The AZGOP was all aflutter this weekend. When Kelli Ward found out about this she hit the roof. It’s all to keep America First people out of the Party. It’s so against what we believe. It was tagged to an emergency bill that needed to be done because our Democrat Secretary of State is corrupt. But then they tagged on this PC election crap which is just that, crap. There was an emergency Executive Board Meeting on Sunday with Senate leadership and they did not realize this had been tagged on. Even thought REPUBLICANS CONTROL THE SENATE. We are our own worst enemy. Always.
The Arizona GOP voters have a new job to do. Namely, the voters need to primary all of the RINOs who voted to change the precinct committee elections.
The voters should not hold out a hope the legislature will reverse what they just did.

Isn’t the 2/3 requirement to overturn citizen led initiatives? I thought this would require a simple majority to overturn unless Ducey vetos it.
It passed out of the Rules Committee on a party line vote, 5 in favor, 3 not. You would think the Dems would realize this will hurt them too. Get a stealth conservative county chairman in and we could take over their party. :-)
2/3s is just what i heard reported.
but, if that’s true, repeal is probably not going to happen. what they should do is probably modify the selection process of committee men to take it back out of the hands of the corrupt party chairs and backroom powers who think they put one over on the people, and create an old style convention style selection process subject to vote by the rank and file delegates. that might be a good workaround.
